Temporary appointment as Senior Project Fellow/ Project Fellows

Applications are invited for purely temporary appointment as Senior Project Fellows/ Project Fellows in the following Departments under projects scheme.

  1. Centre for Drug Discovery (CDD)
  2. Centre Development and Ageing Research(CDAR)
  3. Centre for Communicable Disease-Control and Prevention(CCDP)

The Fellowships are Co-terminus with the project.

Number of posts anticipated: Two each in every Department

Stipend offered  Rs.28,000/- for Senior Project Fellows, and Rs. 25,000/- for Project Fellows


Qualification required


  1. Senior Project Fellows: The candidate should have MSc/MTech in Biomedical/Life sciences, MD in relevant field such as Pharmacology/Biochemistry/ Pathology, with minimum three years of research experience in Neurobiology/Pharmacology/Biomedical sciences/ Cell Biology/Immunology/drug screening -Development.
  2. Project Fellows: The candidate should have first class career throughout, with postgraduate degree in Biomedical sciences/ Life sciences, and should have qualified NET/GATE/GPAT Candidates with professional postgraduate degrees (MTech in Biotechnology; Bio molecular medicine); MPharm; MD in Allopathy/Ayurveda or Unani medical system will also be considered even though they do not have NET/ GATE/GPAT 

N.B: For Senior Project Fellows, candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and waiting for their viva voce may also be considered provided they could devote at least 6 months’ time for the project in the centre.

     Age limit

    1. Senior Project Fellow: Maximum 33 years on last date of application
    2. Project Fellows: Maximum 32 years on last date of application

Age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC, ST, OBC and PHC on production of relevant certificates from competent Authority.  Woman candidates are also given age relaxation of 5 years.
